My car was missing the throttle stop, and as such, had to make one up. My trans tunnel has been modified as well as the bracket for the pedal so not even sure if the stock one would have worked. Here is my hack at a pedal stop that will catch the bottom of the pedal and survive the hammer down position on the throttle.
Found some scrap 1/4" thick 6061 aluminum angle for the job. McMaster-Carr for the bumper.
Before the job
After some CAD (Cardboard Aided Design) came up with this.
Face that will hold the bumper
Using some spacers to 'simulate' the bumper and the offset from the tunnel
Looks way off but that's just the angle
Back to the bench. I tried using a spacer that was cut at the angle needed, but then realized the bolt head and nut would be oddly at an angle. Went with a straight spacer and BENT the tunnel to conform to the bracket
Making a slot for centering the bumper to the pedal
Coming to shape
Tossing the bumper on to see what I can trim off the bracket.
