Picked my Tiger up today in York, PA

Took my boy on his maiden voyage this evening [with my son too :)]

Need another carb but temp stayed under 200 except for when sitting at a light. I have a better fan to try. He has come a long way since Oct 31 when I picked him up. I'm leaving the expired 1972 inspection sticker on it so I have an excuse for the paint!!!

I would leave the paint as is, looks awesome. Love those wheels, that's very close to what came on my 66 GT350.

Looks awesome!

The pic with your son will be a priceless addition to his photo timeline at some point!
The result with the Krager wheels is simply awesome. I think I have your recipe for brakes and hubs... Could you publish particulars of what wheel size you wound up with as well as an comments about clearance/fitment issues?

I'm with Bruce on this one... I'd leave the paint; it looks great! Of course, this car is your canvas....

Cheers -Kevin

The wheels do resemble Shelby Cragars, but also 289 FIA Cobra wheels. I'm going to repaint the centers to include the outer lip and make them more like the FIA. That's the look I was going for with 5 spokes vs 6.

The fronts are 15x7 with 4.125 backspace. My front brake combo gained me some narrower tracking. I didn't calculate exactly but I think it's about 3/4". As it is, the clearance is tight with positive camber (because I want to handle not worry about tire wear).

The rears are 15x8 with 4.5" of backspacing. I probably lost and 1/8-1/4" because of rotors thickness vs drums. So this is also tight. But so far no signs that it has rubbed.

Holy crap, it's like doing 100 mph standing still!

Like the paint too......rat rod is all I have to say.

Me too

Tiger needs a few bullet holes , well the vinyl ones:) Looks great. Back when I had long hair as a yout , I got pulled over regularly for no bumpers and driving with obstructed vision. Going to put bumpers back on?

As long as the cops don't push the issue, the bumpers stay off. I like the look much better. Looks more like a race car. The bumpers soften and frankly are a shade to big visually for me. If I have to run bumpers, I will do a Foose and narrow/tighten them.

I was actually toying with some type of bumperette idea. But nothing really seems to look right. Anyone have any nice looking examples for me to make?

Ya, speedo was tight and broke internally when I tried to spin it manually. Next winter I can send it away to be fixed. Right now, the tach tells me roughly where I am.

Bumper lite

There was a fella on eBay UK that was selling fronts with the middle section removed. I do not like the over riders so much as it makes em harder to clean.

There was a green tiger stateside with 1/4 bumpers. Its now down under see if I can find some pictures. Someone on the forum might have pics, was a Cali car I think, had lat bonnet and moddified scuttle for quad Weber setup

edit found a PIC.. There are better ones out there:
