Story of my Tigers

the chrome work looks really nice.. the whole car look sreally nice.. no need for that mustang anymmore!

Will you be installing the lower grill finisher and painting behind it in the grill opening satin black?

Thanks for the comments. I was going to paint the grille opening but forgot before I assembled the grille---sooooo, might do it later. I went to put the finisher chrome on but it's too wide, need to modify it. There are still little things to do but extremely happy that it's back on the road again, it was great last night to driving it home after the show.

Took the car out today--put about 100 miles on it, forgot how much fun they are to drive. It was only around 88 today but the car ran about 175 degrees--perfect for me.

Thanks, originally code 58, but too dark for me. I fell in love with this color years ago and always kept a pic of it for that "some day" paint job. My last Tiger was painted when I bought it so no sense in a repaint, so this time around I bought a car that was mechanically sound but needed paint. So far it has gotten good reviews locally.

I know what you mean about Midnight Blue. IMHO it needs the light blue interior to brighten it up.

I am on the fence with interior color--black, lt blue, tan, ?? I need to see different colors to see what looks the best. Anyone have a lt blue pic they can post??

Personally light blue/light blue woudl not be that nice.. tan/biscuit.. errhh..

I think dark blue or to be different.. what about ox blood red? the not so bright one.. that could look nice as a contrast?

Beautiful interior shots, thanks. I have a friend with a 2011 BMW and it has a "brownish" color interior and I really like it. Might have to pony up some money and do a custom color interior---better tell the wife no vacation this summer....:)

Interior

There is a light Blue Alipine S1 or 2 on E pay with a white interior.
I guess the big question is how much it will be driven and left parked in the Summer Sun.
I went thru 2 sets of red in my VW conv as after one or two years they turn rather light not pink but not real red any more.
White will be clean for 6 months as probably will be the same for light blue.

The black was new on my car and it seems to be fading fast and is a bear in the sun.
Tan or Camel seems a nice compromise not too many cars with that color.

I bought a tonneau cover but when the dash pad was changed by PO or PO's hired monkeys they neglected to put lift a dot studs in it looks mission impossible without pulling windshield.

For my 2 cents I would suggest black maybe with body color piping or just body color through out. I went with matching body color and carpet and lighter color leather seats very similar in photo color to King's azure as can be seen in my album pics. Bummer was the only seat color I liked was only surface dyed and that showed up real quick. The true color shows thru all the micro cracks.

The white interior would look like Bond's Dr. No.

Warren: I'm in the exact same position re tonneau as you, no dash studs but I was thinking it was doable. Working from underneath with a long drill bit maybe fudge a bit back on stud location. The studs would need an extension so they don't pull down thru and disappear into the dash padding. I need to modify for rollbar and upholsterer needs to have deep throat machine to hem edges. I'll have to check the boat top shops along PCH. I'm keeping the car parked in the shade (garage) as much as possible till the cover is installed. The shelf carpet is fading fast but I figure I can get a replacement for that easier than full carpet kit.

BTW kidz I didn't notice/consider $$$ conversion rate, to bad about no No shipping to US. Maybe buy/ship to a down-under member or similar then forward home?

Blue Canvas

I had a Black Canvas top on the bug a Robbins product all it took was one seagull to white stain it :(
The perils of a home with a view. Never again just like a white vinyl top.
I guess at the end of the day one has to remember a top every 2 to 3 years was required in So. Cal. at least on a car you like to be seen in.

Warren, the car does get used, quite often when the weather is good. I have had 3 black, 1 red and 1 tan Tiger interior---just looking for something different on this car. The black is good enough to get me through summer but I would like to finish the interior this fall, so I have a little time to look around.
