Where about's

Curious to know if anyone knows the where about's of this Tiger.

I took this picture around 1989 while attending SDSU. I saw this car outside the engineering building and waited hours doing my homework on the steps to see who owned it. It was a professor's car. I told him I was interested in it if he ever wanted to sell it. 6 or so years later he tracked me down when I moved to Texas the first time. He wanted to sell it but I had no $ and no place to keep it having moved across the country. However, it inspired me to keep working until I could afford one. Yesterday marked my 20th year with B382000954. Now having the means and desire for another tiger, I am looking for this one in particular.

Keith, it might help your search if you happened to have the VIN for the car. (Probably a long shot that you would have it.). The car might have moved out of California. Will the DMV do a vehicle search on a car you don’t own? Good luck in your search.

Thanks David, I have a photo of the general area of the vin and JAL tag but its taken at the wrong angle and too far away. I have a good photo of the valve cover data plate but it was so faded at that time, I cant make out anything but the rectangle. I don't think the DMV would let me run the info but maybe a friend in the police dept might be able to help me. I was hoping someone in the CAT world would recognize it. Maybe the current owner is interested in the photos I have from back then, who knows?
