A beautiful job!

I've been pondering whether to return my car from it's current green back to it's original midnight blue, and your pictures really show the colour off well.

Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures.

Now we wet sand until it becomes a deep mirror.

Bits & Pieces

Clearing the corner; out goes a wheel barrel full of what used to be attached to little 004.:(

A mild Upgrade

A little bit of this & that added to the freshened original 260. Just enough to twist the drive train a bit more, but not enough to break anything (maybe). The vintage LAT tall Tiger intake sits over a wee bit more cam, and the ultra rare Tiger scatter shield make for a sweet nostalgic touch. Hopefully, I didn't build a short-lived grenade.

Nice period details, was the scatter sheild with the car or the one from ebay a few years back? If it goes and sounds as good as it looks will be a sweet little ride

Black Metallic

I noted the correct block color with jealousness, considering I basically blew that...

But, wondering about the top loader and its coloration. When I picked my refreshed (WR innards) trans up from overhaul specialist, they smiled and said "we even decided to throw on some fresh paint for you since we're so proud of the build and you're a good customer (sucker) etc..." New Black. Was grey metal.

I've seen blue (hi duke), grey, semi-gloss black, even red awhile back... just wondering if you intentionally painted yours (flat?) black, or ? If 'correct,' any chance an early IA might too have that look?

PS: One must hope the motor withstands and the full package can be enjoyed for years. Of Course... yeah, many of us are missing that particular LAT component. Neat! ;-)

Scatter NHRA wedge is part of the owner's inventory and he decided to use it. Good thing it's in the middle of the car because it's a hefty critter. The tranny was cleaned up and examined (found excellent), gaskets & seals were brittle toast and replaced. It's coated in 3M self etching primer for protection.
